BETWEEN WORLDS

Performance Dance Poetry / Work in progress

Between Worlds (working title) is a work in progress, a series of multidisciplinary creative experiments led by Congolese and French artists around the themes of memory, individual and collective identity. Poetry, visual art, dance, and music are interwoven in this inherently experimental and open approach, intended to occupy a variety of performance spaces. Poetic writing is at the heart of the experience, with texts by Alexia Traore and Myla Boueya published in 2025 by La Kainfristanaise. (Tell your silence that I love it too // Lettres d’Hivernage Magazine No. 4)

Initiated in Kinshasa at the end of 2024 at La Maison Culturelle des Mwindeurs, this research now brings together Alexia Traore, Myla Boueya, Alexis Aymard Vividila Ngoma, and soon other artists from Paris, Brazzaville, and Kinshasa. The project was hosted by La Maison de la Conversation, Paris, in July 2025.

In France and Congo, the public was invited not only to the presentation – the end of the residency on July 25th – but also to participate in multidisciplinary workshops combining poetry, visual arts, and Congolese and Egyptian dance.

The Entre Mondes project is supported by the City of Paris / 18th District Town Hall (Local Cultural Endowment).
