ONE LOVE POEMS
VISUAL POETRY: ACRYLIC PAINT / FELT PEN / PAPER
One day it becomes obvious that all the faces of love, all the experiences of love, from the caress to the burn, come together in the same breath. The same cycle of life, the same heartbeat. From this evidence emanates peace, and the vision of love in common measure of the world. Dances of one love. One Love Poems.
The works in this series are linked to the texts of my eponymous collection ONE LOVE POEMS, (to be published) of which they contain sentences in encrypted writing. Each work corresponds to a sentence, posed at the end of the creative process; each work is thus linked to a single poem.
The collection brings together poetic texts that I wrote over a long period from 2007 to 2023, resulting from my experience as a woman and an artist, from an experience marked by incommunicability, co-dependent relationships, and a in relation to my very ambivalent body.
Whatever their inspiration, these poems have in common the idea that the contemplation and the experience of beauty, in music, dance, sharing, help me to repair myself, to approach the original unity and peace.
With the ONE LOVE POEMS series I sought to find in shapes and colors the freedom of dance, and the feeling that body and mind are united. The works are in 29 cm x 42 cm or 30 cm x 40 cm format, with some circles of 40 cm in diameter. The support is a rimless glass frame.
The series was exhibited at the NEW AGE space, a shop dedicated to eco-responsible creation, in Paris 18th, from October to December 2022, and at Studio D12, in Marseille, from January to February 2023.
Ephemeral presentations (pop-up evenings) were also organized at Forum 104 and Gymnase Ostermeyer, in Paris, from March to June 2023.
