DAYMA COMPANY

The DAYMA Company was founded in 2003 by a collective of artists (dance, theater, visual arts) around the desire to decompartmentalize the relationship between traditional arts and contemporary arts and to promote intercultural creative processes with integrity, to work toward better living together. in the society.

Structured as an association under the law of 1901, member of the FAMDT and Collectif MdMIDF networks, its head office is based in the 18th, where most of its action is centered, but DAYMA also organizes events throughout France and internationally. (Switzerland, England, Morocco, Republic of Congo) through collaborations with numerous public and private partners. Under the leadership of Alexia Traore, artistic director, DAYMA brings together a network of multidisciplinary artists strong in its diversity and quality. DAYMA has been working in schools since 2004, and will join the PASS CULTURE system in 2024.

For its cultural creations and events, DAYMA has obtained regular support from the City of Paris and the Local Cultural Endowment (18th Town Hall) since 2011.DAYMA obtained approval from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Popular Education in 2007. Since 2017, with the Tahtîb workshop – Danses du Bâton (Egyptian martial art and percussion), and the On Joue Ensemble workshop, DAYMA has been implementing a reflection on the prevention of violence at school (harassment, gender discrimination) through artistic practice.
